History of solar energy, present and future

The genesis of the history of solar energy dates back to 1838, for an observer under the name Edmund Becquerel then published the results of the capacity of materials, the light to change into pure energy. While it was fascinating in that time, nobody had the opportunity to follow later.

Over time, the design of the first patent for a solar engine was made by a man named Augustine Mouchot in 1860. Fortunately for him, the King of France, the project has created a device for financing the conversion of solar energy in the first steam engine. However, it was the beginning of things to come in August went to the fact that the sun’s rays are used to ice through the connection of the steam engine to make a cooling device to illustrate. A medal was awarded for his discovery.

However, the proportion of each request, a financial burden for the French, trying to turn an agreement with England for the supply of coal. August has been working hard to find alternatives, but there was more interest in an asset for the French monarch. As research funding stopped!

The experiment

The first book was written in solar energy was a man named William Adams in 1876. The book was called “alternative fuels in tropical countries.” William had made a series of experiments, in collaboration with his student Richard Day, the use of mirrors, but were able to create a 2.5-horsepower steam engine steam, which is much larger than the steam engine to power Augustin, whose power is only 0 , was 5. The design is like the (concept of the Power Tower) and is known to the world of today.

In 1883, Charles Fritz was able to convert sunlight into electricity. The solar cell is the maximum of 2%, which was a major turning point in the history of solar energy.

It is a French (Charles Teller) in 1885, when he experimented with a focus motor and does not reflect the solar system. Charles was the first person who was a solar system on your roof to install water for domestic use heat, no one is able to achieve, in 1885. But Charles himself had a passion for cooling. In fact, it was the father of the particular trade. However, this causes his desire to follow their dreams in the cooling of a lack of interest in exploring the solar energy and experience, and of course the whole issue of solar energy has become dormant. Who knows what our current status, if it held out just yet.

First Solar by John Erickson, a Swedish inventor and researcher who had also created a role to play in the development of solar energy has a solar-powered steam engine has the same properties as the design of Augustine of 1868 to 1888. John is the one who invented these words: – “A few thousand years fell into the ocean of time completely exhausted coal fields of Europe, unless, during that time, the sun’s heat is used.”

Solar-industrialization

At the time of birth and the early twentieth century, has solar energy and experiments that do not work like a man, but became industrialized. In 1892, Aubrey Eneas founded the first Solar Energy Society – “The Solar Motor Co.” all the way until 1905. The company began its mission through the sale of the first set of solar energy to Dr. AJ Chandler for an incredible $ 2,160.00. The unit did not last a week before the disaster, which was destroyed in a storm. The second unit, which were also sold in a hail storm destroyed shortly after. These streams of events led to the demise of the company, will close its doors forever.

The largest solar power plant Henry Willsie shot for them to build two large solar power plants in the U.S. state of California. Henry succeeds, the first to use the power at night, after storage in the day. His company has managed to get the logistics and active, but without success in selling its shares to the public, and finally had to close its doors permanently in 1904.

Sun Power Co. built the most energy efficient and solar reaches 10,000 square meters. Although he finished in the position, a huge amount of steam, not provide enough pressure. The fusion of Frank Sherman and EP Haynes in 1906 gave birth to Sun Power Co. Ltd.. They went to a plant for irrigation in the outskirts of Cairo was built to an unhappy end of World War II in 1914.

Solar Energy – Progress

The 1950s – the decade of 1960 saw some progress in the development of solar energy from the guys at Bell Labs, who accidentally discovered the use of silicon, of course, led to a build solar panel, which at a rate of 6 % was. Was the activity of solar cells, the first of its kind was made available to the public in 1956 at a price of $ 300 for electricity. Space program has also involved the use of solar technologies. The first satellite of energy that uses solar energy to generate electricity in 1958.

Energy crisis reminds us of the energy crisis in 1970 (the OPEC oil embargo). It was only then that people in authority, the reliability of our existence was realized non-renewable resources such as coal, oil and gas tirelessly to search for alternative forms of energy. The price of solar cells fall to a record high of $ 20.00 for the power.

Solar power outages and possible permanent

The company was producing 95% more than the world of solar energy in the years 1980 to 1991, in Los Angeles and had to close their doors for good. This closure is on the decline of its investors, the frustrated and withdrew from the project due to the reduction of non-renewable fossil fuels is irreversible, while the government incentives were not promising. These were the words of the Chairman of the Board: “The failure of the largest solar power plants could not be seen due to failures of technology or watch store, but the failure of state regulation of the economic and environmental benefits of solar thermal power plants.”

Future of the earth is estimated that solar energy is absorbed by the Earth’s atmosphere over the oceans and the land is approx. 3.85 million (EJ) per year. In 2002, more energy generated in one hour than the world consumes in a year. There were about. 3000 EJ per year in the photosynthetic uptake of biomass.

Did the revelation in the history of solar energy, we have as we move, as a generation in search of a greener earth. The amount of solar energy reaching the earth’s surface is so great that in one year is about double the amount absorbed more and more all non-renewable resources of the country from coal, petroleum, natural gas and uranium as a whole.
